Another benchmark

Today I officially hit my 25% complete mark. I started the day in a manner that fits me - I fell off the bus. I don't mean I stumbled and missed a step; I missed all three of the steps on the bus and tumbled out onto the gravel. Luckily, my face, knees, and elbows broke my fall. I only had this mishap in front of around 20 people. And it wasn't even Monday!

In about a month, I'll be taking my four day pass to Qatar, which will be a much needed break from the grind of my job. And four months after that, I'll be coming home on leave. I'm trying to convince myself that the time is flying by, but the truth is, it isn't. So I work, and I wait.

The amazing part is that I'll be coming home to a house. Mike has done all the work and made all the arrangements, and we're closing on the house that he has pictured in his blog in August. We're both really excited. My husband is the greatest ever.

So I'll end this short blog with a picture of me, my colleagues, and a giant head to commemorate the milestone...

Wow. Someone that has a bigger head than me. Thank goodness. I knew that Saddam fella wasn't all that bad of a guy.

Seems you have my sense of balance and grace. I mananged to break a rib 2 weeks ago, leaning over my chair to adjust the heat in my office! And we won't even talk about how many steps I have missed!
You are indeed lucky that Mike was able to follow all your directions and close on the house for you (hahaha) - Can't wait to see it and YOU in 2008.
Much Love,
Barbara

Glad to finally see a picture of you after all the ones you have sent of others and a pig. It is obvious you did not hurt your sense of humor when you fell. Try to watch that first step in the future. Take good care of yourself~~
Love and hugs,
Mom

That's a great picture, but you really do look better in pink:) I admire your attempt to be better than me at falling down, but you are not even close!! Just try to fall over the next painted line on a road you see, bet you can't do it! I can. Then there is the sidewalk that leapt up and broke my arm. Let's just declare me the winner:) And don't mention drinks either!

What can I send you in a CARE package that you can use, would like, need, and will not be confiscated?

By the way, congratulations on your new house. It looks really nice!!
